07.30.08 - Indy - Crazy Race! : The Allstate 400 at the Brickyard did not turn out how we wanted but we ended up salvaging a decent finish out of it.  I couldn’t believe tires were such an issue and I feel bad for the fans that they had to watch a race unfold like that.  With so many short runs it was hard to really work on our car and get it to the front but my #9 team did an awesome job and helped me get a good top-10 finish.

I always have a good time when I go up to Indy because I get to spend some time with old friends and my USAC team which is based close by in Brownsburg Indiana.  While I was growing up and racing sprint cars and midgets I lived in Indy for a while so it kind of feels like a second home.  I actually got to race one of my Mopar midget cars at Indianapolis Raceway park and finished 2nd.   You can check out some pics from the race on the gallery on kkr9.com.

Before I got up to Indy I filmed Live with Regis and Kelly in New York which was a pretty cool experience.  Regis was actually on vacation but David Duchovny was the guest host and was really funny and good guy.  Kelly was super nice as well.  You can see a few pics from the set in the gallery HERE.

I will be off to Pocono soon and will hopefully have the same kind of run we had in June.  Our car was awesome at the first Pocono race and I expect it to be the same.  Hopefully we get our #9 car back in victory lane.

06.10.08 - On a roll : What a great weekend! Pocono is a cool track, it fits my driving style, and I have always run well so finally winning there felt awesome. Even after a little miscommunication during a pit stop and having to come up from the back of the field our #9 Budweiser Dodge was dominant. Our Gillett-Evernham team has done an amazing job of working on the new cars and making them handle how I like. Michigan has some similarities to Pocono so I am excited to get out there and continue this momentum.

On Wednesday June 11th I will be headed to Sedalia State Fair Speedway (sedaliastatefairspeedway.com) to race my Sage Fruit Co Sprint Car. I will be racing the 360 race then hanging around to watch Joey Saldana race the KKR #9 Budweiser Mopar sprint car in the World of Outlaws series. I always have a great time at Sedalia and the racing is always tough. Last week I was at Tony Stewart’s Prelude charity event at Eldora Speedway but my car had motor problems and I didn’t really get to race so it will be nice to get out there and get my dirt fix on Wednesday night. I hope some people in the Kansas and Missouri areas can come out and watch us have some fun.

05.21.08 - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! : Well I always said that I have the best fans in NASCAR and last Saturday night you all proved it.  It was such an honor to have my fans vote me into the Sprint All-Star race but then to go on and win it was just incredible.  Obviously I would have loved to race my way in but this way was just as sweet.  It felt so great to win at Charlotte again, it really is one of my favorite tracks.  The car really came to us towards the last segment and I am excited for the 600 this weekend.  I think we will have a car to contend for the win.  I am making a special limited edition shirt to thank my fans and giving them away for free.  If you are in the Charlotte area you will be able to pick some up at my shop.  We will let you know how you can get your hands on one soon.  Thanks again, I owe that victory to the fans.

05.13.08 - Vote for me!! : The Sprint All –Star race and the Coke 600 are coming up and I have always loved those races.  It is always fun to be home for 2 weeks during the race season and I always have friends and family come to town.  I am still not locked into the All-Star race but you can still vote me in here on nascar.com.

Also to any fans out in the Midwest, I will be racing at Iowa Speedway this Sunday May 18th.  You can purchase tickets here.  it is going to be a great race and my buddy Supercross legend Ricky Carmichael will be racing in it.  Hope to see you out there.

04.30.08 - Kasey Visits High School in Alabama : Last week at Talladega Ray Evernham and I visited Chelsea High School in Chelsea Alabama to promote the Allstate Teen Safe Driving program.  It is a really cool program that teaches teen drivers that you need to be safe and stay aware when behind the wheel.  It was a lot of fun talking with the students about safe driving and was a great cause.  We put a couple pictures in the gallery to check out.

03.20.08 - Sprint Car Race : Kasey has decided to use his weekend off from the NASCAR schedule to go race his Kasey Kahne Racing Budweiser/Open Joist sprint car in Pennsylvania. After a great start to the Sprint Cup season Kasey can enjoy returning to his roots for some dirt track action. Friday night he will be racing at Williams Grove www.williamsgrove.com in Mechanicsburg PA and Saturday night he will be racing at Lincoln Speedway www.lincolnspeedway.com in Abbottstown PA.

02.08.08 - Daytona : So I got down to Daytona and it feels good to get the season started. After all of the pre-season testing I am ready to get back out there and race against these guys. I have been happy with how the #9 Budweiser Dodge has been performing during testing and I feel we have a competitive package for the 500.

I drew the 8th starting position for the Budweiser Shootout this Saturday night. This is always a fun race and a good way to get ready for the season. I would love to win the shootout for my new sponsor Bud and get things started off right.
